Revising your work should be second nature because it is that important to go through your work again and find flaws and mistakes that you did not see on the first draft. Key points -Use apps like word processors and word count Word processors can be handy to quickly fix spelling mistakes and even grammar mistakes. Word counters can be useful when you have a specific amount of words that you have to follow with. -Moving material or deleting them When revising your work, make sure that your material is in the right spot. Sometimes some sentences are placed where they're not suppose to belong. So simply move those sentences into other paragraphs or just a place them where they will fit the best to make the most out of your writing. Or if the sentence is unnecessary simply delete it. -Do not be afraid to experiment Experimenting with what you got is always a good idea. You might like what you are doing and it might improve your writing. But before you experiment make sure to save the original work so even if you fail you still got your previous writing. You should not be scared of failing.
Chapter 7-Do not overstate
Overstating is like kicking an opponent thats on the ground you already defeated. It just looks bad, making people to think you're desperate or simply overkilling what you said. The readers that see overstatements that you created will lose the confidence in your writing thus making your points weak. Key points -Do not overkill As I said before, there is no point of beating a dead horse. Make your statements clear and to the point and simple to give the reader the maximum impact. If you exaggerate the reader will think you are desperate and will lose the confidence in your work. -Keep your cool Now it is important to stay calm and keep your cool. There are times where you write something that you are passionate about and emotional, it is important to stay calm and make a clear statement that does not sound biased or offensive.
